Our Team
Kathy Camp
President
Kathy began her career in the oil and gas industry after completing two years at the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Communications. In June 1974, Pennzoil opened the Houston Marine District. Kathy started as a receptionist before being promoted to an Area Superintendent Secretary position. During this portion of her career, the responsibilities she had in assisting the drilling and production engineers with the day-to-day operations required to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations introduced her to the world of regulatory compliance. Kathy continued her career as a Regulatory Coordinator for an independent oil and gas operator, Houston Oil & Minerals, from 1976 through 1978. After a 5-year stint as a stay at home mom, Kathy returned to the oil and gas industry working as a regulatory consultant, then transitioned to Regulatory and Environmental Manager for Hall-Houston Oil Company from 1988 to 1995. She returned to independent consulting for the oil and gas industry until 2004, when she formed K. Camp & Associates, Inc.
Jeff Camp
Vice President
Jeff served in the USCG for five years, including two years in New York conducting inspections on vessels entering the port and instructing crew members on safe work practices in accordance with federal regulations. After graduating from the University of Houston’s C. T. Bauer College of Business, Jeff performed regulatory services for independent oil and gas operators at K. Camp & Associates. In 2008, Jeff went to work for ES&H as an Environmental Consultant, where he managed regulatory and compliance issues related to federal and state agencies for many operators including assisting in operations for the Deepwater Horizon incident. In 2011, Jeff returned to K. Camp & Associates where he has provided consulting services in regulatory and environmental permitting for operators on the shelf and deepwater, to include E&P, development plans and daily well operations.
